Customer Privacy Guarantee

Your work belongs to you

Submitting a file does not transfer ownership, publishing rights or permission to use it in our portfolio. We will ask separately before showing your work publicly. This privacy commitment is not a signed confidentiality agreement.

Private files, limited access

Portal files and reports are available to the customer for that project and authorized M&K staff. They are not public downloads or searchable examples. Download links expire after five minutes, although a recipient who downloads a file can retain a copy. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

What we collect and why

A quote requires only your name and email. You may also share book specifications, contact details, files, proof decisions and questions so we can evaluate, prepare and manage your project. Hosting and private storage are provided through Lovable Cloud. Project administration uses Nutshell. Project messages and activity may be recorded there; manuscript text and private review reports are not automatically sent there.

Invoice payment links may open QuickBooks or the payment service identified on your invoice. Payment details are handled on that service's website, not collected by this review tool. Relevant production files may need to be shared with the production partners handling your order. Discuss any special confidentiality requirements with Kaylyn before submission.

You choose how your work is reviewed

File measurements and a request for human review do not send your manuscript or cover to an AI reviewer. Optional AI-powered first looks use Lovable AI and its OpenAI model provider to process extracted text or cover imagery after you give consent. You can choose the human-review option instead.

The selected review endpoint is listed as zero data retention in the current service catalog. We request no provider-stored response. This does not delete the file or report saved in your M&K project, and it is not a promise about every provider's policies or a blanket training guarantee. First looks are introductory feedback, not full editing or approval for press.

Removal and questions

Contact Kaylyn to request removal of project files or personal information, or to discuss a separate confidentiality agreement. We will review the request with you, including any records needed for an active order, accounting or legal obligations. There is no automatic deletion schedule or promised removal deadline.
